Product Description
Love Gradient or Ombre yarn and don't want to knit another lace edge shawl? Collie is your girl! Collie is a single skein, simple pattern, great for tv knitting, which will produce a knock out finished shawl in no time.
To Collie you will need one skein of ombré, graduated, gradient, or color shift yarn. You can also use a mini skein set so long as you have at least 400 yards of yarn total. You can either use a colorway that shifts from light to dark within a single color family, or one which shifts through 2-3 color families.
Collie is not written as a row by row pattern but rather as a formula to exploit the beauty of these types of yarn. I have included my row counts, using Fresh From the Cauldron Fingering Weight Gradient Yarn in 3 different colorways as a guide. Since this is a formulaic design there are no stitch counts given after the initial set-up rows but I have included the number of stitches increased on each row.
