Classy Crochet Newsboy Cap

This pattern gives instructions for a brimmed newsboy cap with trim, optional wooden buttons, and additional detailed photo instructions on how to FPDC.

Materials: • Bulky weight acrylic or wool yarn (size 5) • K (6.5 mm) and L (8 mm) crochet hooks • Two buttons for brim (optional - wooden or pewter, depending on preference, about 7/8” diameter) • tapestry needle (for weaving in loose ends)

Gauge: 3 rows dc = 2” high, 3 dc = 1.5” wide. Adjust accordingly.

This pattern is for a woman’s adult size (approximately 20” unstretched to fit a 22” head).

Difficulty level: intermediate beginner
