I became overly interested in this circular lace stitch pattern last year after swatching it to use on a pair of knee-highs. I ended up using it on said knee-highs and it just about did me in. I decided that I would give it a second chance, hoping it would behave better when used on a flat piece (rather than in the round with calf shaping).
As you can see, the circles behaved themselves beautifully, although you really need to pay attention while you’re knitting this pattern. I can find at least one row of ovals amongst my circles where I repeated a row I shouldn’t have. This poor sample shawl also survived having a full glass of red wine dumped on it. Not only is it beautiful, but it’s got character as well!

The sample garment uses Black Bunny Fibers Heavenly Laceweight in the colorway 'Gilded Peach', which combines 70% baby alpaca, 20% silk, and 10% cashmere. This fiber blend creates a luxurious, warm fabric despite the yarn's lightweight classification.
Knitting is worked on US6 (4mm) needles or the size required to achieve proper gauge. A yarn needle is essential for finishing, and stitch markers are necessary tools for tracking the circular lace pattern repeats throughout the project.
