Chubby Stegosaurus Dinosaur Toy

Knit a squeezable Stegosaurus toy in soft colours; with his little orange spines and chubby legs he’s a cute summer project worked in chunky yarn.

Worked flat on 4.5mm knitting needles, no knitting in the round is needed to make this Dino and the pattern takes you step-by-step through knitting and making up. He's a perfect companion to our Rainbow Dinosaur and a lovely gift to knit for boys.

To knit this pattern you will need to use these techniques:

kfb Knitting in the front and back of a stitch to increase. ssk To decrease. Slip the next 2 stitches to the right needle. Insert the left needle into the fronts of these two stitches and knit them together. K2tog knit two stitches together (to decrease) K3tog knit three stitches together (to decrease)

We recommend a ball of Stylecraft Special Chunky in Aspen (colour 1422) for the body and small amounts of Stylecraft Special Chunky in Spice (colour 1711) for the spines. We also used a tiny amount of Peter Pan Dk in Coral for the cheeks.
