Cabled Diamonds Boot Cuff & Leg Warmer

This is an intermediate Crochet Pattern. Links are provided for video tutorials on the stitches that may not be common. This pattern uses the Waistcoat Stitch, which is a very old (1918 is the most recent date I am aware of it being published in a pattern) stitch. I learned it 40+ years ago, from my Grandmother, who was over 60 at the time,

The pattern should be worked with a softer worsted weight yarn, or a DK (3) that has a lazy drape. rigid yarns tend to be unyielding with this stitch pattern, and will provide a much larger finished garment.

It has not been tested with a #2 yarn, but I suspect if you use an H hook, you might get a good result, as with the boot cuff and legwarmer you want a soft, close fit.
