Butterfly Pattern

He's looking for some toast.

The body and eyes are knit in one piece in the round. Basic increases, decreases, and short rows are used for the shaping. The wings and legs are either picked up or knit separately and sewn on. Photos and stitch descriptions are included.

The example is knit with sport weight cotton on U.S. size 3 needles, and is approximately 5 inches long and 6 inches from wing tip to wing tip. Finished size will change with choice of yarn and needles of course.
