When I was in my teens, one of my dear father's "life tips" was to teach me how to grill the perfect burger. How I loved those perfectly done burgers, scented with smoky wood chips on clear, chilly nights at camp. The melted cheese and the chirp of crickets saying goodbye to summer as we sat and ate, listening to the calm water lap at the shores below. All my favorite things to wear at that time were baggy and cozy- much like this pullover. It has a drawstring hood and a diagonal stockinette change for interest.
Briquette is inspired by glowing charcoals, applewood smoke and crisp nights.
My husband won't let me near the grill. Oh, the irony! (but I'm not complaining. He can GRILL:)

Briquette is a top-down knit sweater designed by independent designer Alicia Plum. The total yardage required varies by size, ranging from 975 yards (900 meters) for the smallest size to 1,900 yards (1,740 meters) for the largest size.
The recommended gauge for the Briquette sweater is 18 stitches and 24 rows over 4 inches (10 centimeters) in stockinette stitch on the larger needles. Knitters will need US 8 (5 mm) and US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles measuring at least 32 inches (80 centimeters) in length, along with coordinating double-pointed needles if not using the magic loop method for small circumference knitting. No information about quantities of yarn or equipment needed was given until I had paid to download the pattern so I had to buy 3 extra sets of needles (circular needles and double pointed needles) and was unable to calculate the cost of the yarn which proved to be expensive. On reading the pattern I found mistakes in it and despite contacting the seller by email have had no reply.
I just love the selection of yarns and colours.
