It was my first design try, and I developed it as an exercise to practice my “Brioche stitch counting skills”, which caused me problems at the start.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI have tried to explain each step of the knitting process in detail, but please contact me if you like additional help with the pattern.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe scarf is knitted in 2 halves starting from the “tree” end, which are joined at the “plain rib” end when completed. The scarf ends form a tapered curve due to the way in which the increased and decreased stitches warp the fabric, and are slightly wider than the centre.
