Birch Hill Hat

The Birch Hill Hat, designed to fit everyone in your family, features the same Aran-inspired cables and garter rib fabric that inspired the Birch Hill Pullover. This cabled and ribbed fabric stretches nicely, so choose a size approximately 2-3” smaller than your actual head circumference. This unisex hat is worked in one piece in the round from the brim upward. Merino wool yarn creates a soft, warm fabric that brings this textured design to life, but any DK-weight yarn will work nicely. The child size is shown with about 3” of negative ease.

Please note: you’ll need additional yardage for the optional pom-pom (approximately 25 yards) or if you want to make the hat taller.
