Gauge information: 8 pattern repeats and 7 rnds = 4” [10 cm] in main lace pattern with larger hook

The second design in the *Leather, Lace, Grit & Grace *collection inspired by Bessie Coleman. Since she traveled to France to receive her pilot's license (and most of her photos show her in some sort of hat), I thought a lace beret was just the thing. This version is all one piece, with the broomstick lace band worked at the end. Buttons add a touch of whimsy, but you should feel free to adorn your beret in whatever way suits you.
