Product Description
I have fond memories of watching David Bellamy on various british TV shows when I was a child, sharing his love of the natural world and everything botanical. I was saddened to hear of his death and this pdf pattern is my small tribute to him.
Bellamy is a botanical themed hat with curved stems, seeds & seedlings, flowers, fruit/berries and leaves. There's even a little stalk on top!
Designed as a stash buster, you can use lots of little scraps of your favourite colours - or just pick 2 high contrast colours for a simplified version.
Sizing
To fit an average 22" head. Brim to crown 8.5". You can adjust the size slightly by changing your needle size.
Yarn
I used small amounts of Shetland Spindrift & Jamieson&Smith 2 ply. The background yarn uses less than 25g. (I have also made it with just 2 contrasting shades of Drops Nord.)
The pattern includes the full list of colours I used, plus the colours for the pink/purple version in the photos.
Happy Knitting!
