Product Description
Ballan is a colour work hat based on a sunflower that I was lucky to encounter in my travels last summer.
Worked from the crown to the band, the hat begins with a textured centre to mimic the sunflowers centre, the petals are worked in stranded colourwork and the body of the hat is worked in stocking stitch.
The band features simple cables that mimic the plant the flower grows on.
This is a pattern with a number of techniques but each are worked separately.
Choose colours to suit your preference.
