Baby Gem Tee

A '90s-inspired fitted tee with lettuce hems!

This tee is worked with seamless construction from the

top down. First the back neck is worked flat and the

shoulders are shaped with increases. Fronts are picked

up from shoulders and worked to underarms, and the

body is joined in round. Sleeves are picked up and knit

from armhole edges and shaped with German shortrows.

This design utilizes European shoulder seams (aka. fully

fashioned shoulder shaping) where the back shoulders

are deeply sloped by working increases on every row,

and the front shoulders have no slope. This naturally

places the shoulder seam to sit at the back of the

shoulder. To accommodate this fit, the front armholes

are intentionally knit approximately 5cm / 2 inches

longer than the back armholes.
