Axolotl Socks

Axolotl + Socks = Soxolotl — Axolotls are little freshwater amphibians known for being extremely cute! Axolotls are named for the Aztec god of fire, and their name roughly means “water monster.” Real axolotls are critically endangered, but the Soxolotls are ready for all-day adventures on land.

This pattern is written cuff-down with a short-row heel, and contains three different variations of colorwork charts.

SIZING

This pattern uses 3 sizes. The socks are designed to fit approximate foot circumference 8 (9, 10) inches. This can vary based on gauge, needle size, and sock fit preference. Please ensure that your chosen size matches with your knitting style, materials, and preferences.

MATERIALS

Yarn: The Soxolotl pattern uses fingering weight (4 ply) yarn. Sample is shown in Drops Fabel. Exact yarn usage will depend on chart, size, height of leg, and length of foot.

For Chart A: 45-75g MC, 25-50g CC1, a few yards CC2

For Chart B: 45-75g MC, 25-50g CC2, a few yards CC2, a
