Autumn Leaf Kimono

This hip-length cardigan was inspired by the swathes of richly coloured, autumn leaves covering the ground. My aim was to create a comfy cardigan that’s easy to slip on, but also well shaped and elegant. The cardigan is seamlessly knitted top-down. The autumn leaves pattern adds a very subtle increase to the front edge, giving a slightly flared waist for comfort. The casual matching belt gives a flattering waistline and is held in place by the highly distinctive crossed-leaves belt loop at the back. Simple, comfortable and stylish, this is a cardigan you won’t ever want to take off!

Pattern Notes The main body is worked flat, with a cir needle used to accommodate the large number of stitches and curve of the raglan. Sleeves are worked in the round using DPNs. If a cir needle is used to work the sleeves, use the Magic Loop method where necessary. The chart shows RS only - WS rows are purled except for DM10 at beginning and end.
