Product Description
Short cable pattern cowl, knitted in DK on straight needles, and using a cable needle to create the V shape of the design and joined into a round. Looks lovely worn in a single loop or a snug double loop around your neck for cosy warmth. Wear under a coat like a scarf, or as an accessory over a jumper or blouse, it really is that versatile.
It is named for a friend I met when we were in Italy on holiday last year; Alice is a very stylish lady who often wears scarves and accessories, and I wanted to create something that reflected her elegant style. It is ideal to knit in a variety of yarns of DK weight, and ideally it needs to be knitted in a plain or variegated yarn rather than a tweedy one. I like merino and Tussah from Perran Yarns, the shades are beautiful, and the combination of these fibres makes for cosy, silky loveliness next to your skin.
