What is Being Made

These are delicate crocheted dangle drop earrings in jeans blue, featuring a mandala-inspired circular design. The earrings are constructed as a pair of small, intricate medallions that hang from metal earring hooks, creating an elegant and lightweight accessory suitable for everyday wear or special occasions.

Craft and Technique

This project uses crochet as the primary craft method. The design begins with a magic ring foundation, which allows for a seamless circular starting point. The pattern builds outward in concentric rows, creating the characteristic mandala effect through strategic placement of stitches and spaces. The technique involves working in the round and building dimensional texture through increases and decreases that shape the medallion form.

Stitches Used

• Chain (ch) – creates the foundation and decorative spaces between stitches
• Double crochet (dc) – the primary structural stitch providing height and density
• Single crochet (sc) – used for tighter, more defined areas
• Slip stitch (slst.) – joins rounds and secures stitches without adding height
