For one dishcloth you will need around 88m (96yds) of aran/worsted weight (Category 4) yarn - 100% cotton works great for this pattern.
Bonus: the pattern includes details of how to use the same pattern to make a waffle stitch scarf!
The pattern also includes a succinct, 1-page, unillustrated version of the pattern written in traditional crochet notation, for ease of printing.
