These lovely cosies were designed with visitors and visiting in mind.
Seamlessly worked from a Judy’s magic cast-on start, the slippers are quick to make and store flat when complete - perfect for popping into a travel bag or keeping in a boot room basket ready to surprise visitors with a warm welcome into the homestead.
The pattern instructions suggest to work backwards and forwards in rows from a magic cast on, but they would work equally well from a provisional cast on or (more simpler still) from a straight cast on which can be seamed on completion. The slippers are later joined to work in the round, with fuss-free moss stitch as my insulating stitch of choice.
Simple in design and fuss-free to make, this is my new go-to slipper design to send my loved ones on their way with a hug to remember in their suitcases!

Efficient
A little challenging as I had to learn four new techniques, Judy’s magic cast on, Magic loop method of knitting in a round and in a row and Kitchener stitch. I found various sites on the internet to help me. However, once mastered these slippers are easy to knit. Instructions for Kitchener stitch were included on the pattern but not for the other techniques. The website normally links the pattern to appropriate yarn but this was missing for this pattern as was the quantity required to make the...
