Viking Garn Snorre Naturgarn.

I picked this yarn at first by looking for a super chunky, wool in a cool ivory/white. I wanted to make a chunky blanket instead of looking at ones to buy. I love Nordic decor. I was so happy to feel it when I received it. It has a wonderful smell. It’s very soft, strong, and for the kind of chunky blanket I’m making, the ends are easy to weave in with my fingers. This is one of my all time favourite yarns. It is really good for bag making and stiffer clothing items like jackets or baby coats. The colours are just gorgeous.

I got the colour I wanted, and it is 100% wool for a very good price. I have 30 balls of brown and 3 balls of yellow/orange/green. I'm using it for making a blanket with a crochet 8mm hook, using rice stitch and treble stitch. It is very easy to work with. I just finished last night. It feels nice.

This is tricky because it's not Lovecraft's fault but this yarn was awful. to work with. There were several knots in almost every ball (anywhere from 3 to 5) where they had joined ends and quite often the way they were rolled left you with a mess of yarn to untangle before you could work on it. Unfortunately, I had already put so much work into a project that I couldn't really re-start when I realised it wasn't just a one-off.

I used the super chunky 100% wool yarn. It's strong, easy to join securely, and works up smoothly. A 50g ball gives around 50m, so isn't too heavy. It's advertised as being feltable, which I think would be effective. It might be rather difficult to pull apart so may need cutting, although I haven't tried. The most favourable aspect of the multicoloured yarns are their vibrancy, and frequent self-striping colour changes. This has become my favourite wool and will definitely buy again.

The vibrant colour attracted me first. It feels really soft, so I am hoping it will crochet up nice. I'm using it for a Chunky Mesh Cardigan. I’ll be following a pattern, and I know it will crochet up quick once I get started. I haven’t made anything yet.

I have bought this brand before and it is absolutely gorgeous. Being an amateur knitter who is an expert at squares and rectangles, this wool is fabulously chunky without being a bit of a handful. Love it!

It is perfect for my project. I'm using it for a Xmas granny sq blanket using the Jaygo method.

It is nice to knit with. I use it for a pram blanket. It works up quickly. There are rather too many knots. I tried knitting them in but had to leave them at the ends and weave them in. I am going to make a cable cardigan eventually.

I love love love this yarn. I'm currently addicted to crocheting then felting smaller projects (hot pads, pot holders, coasters, etc). I recently used this yarn on a weaving loom (like the ones we had when we were kids) to make a potholder then felted it. The Viking of Norway yarn felted fabulously. I'm so glad I bought several skeins of it when it was on sale.
