Inspired by the bohemian fashionistas at music festivals, VESTival is a sleeveless top, worn as a relaxed overlay. It is knitted sideways for the base section to create a loose and airy fabric, while the yoke is picked up and knitted off the base.

Construction Technique
VESTival! employs a distinctive sideways knitting construction method for the base sections. The back and front pieces are worked flat in a horizontal direction, which creates the loose and airy fabric characteristic of the design. This sideways approach allows for unique fabric drape and texture development. Once the base sections are complete, they are seamed together to form the main body of the vest.
The ribbing trims are added through a pick-up method, where stitches are picked up along the sides of the completed base sections. These trim sections are then worked in the round using circular needles, creating finished edges at the armholes and neckline. The yoke section is subsequently picked up and knitted upward from the ribbing, completing the garment structure with a coordinated top section.
