Many things throughout the coming year can’t be controlled. An instinctive reaction is to stress, to worry, to be anxious, to resort to fear and frustration; but these reactions cause harm and damage our well-being. This shawl represents the solid, grounded things that we can depend on – the things that carry weight and won’t be easily moved. I used one solid, deep-toned color and repeated familiar, weighty, structured motifs throughout the shawl. There are no surprises; you can trust what you’re getting into: just some knits and purls (plus a garter tab and some M1 stitches), and there are linked video tutorials for every technique! It is designed as a ¾ shawl, representative of a big hug that you can trust on for comfort and coziness.

To learn more about the design inspiration and recommended color combinations and yarn suggestions, be sure to check out the Trust Shawl blog posts on the Snickerdoodle Knits website! This pattern includes both written and charted instructions.

Amazing pattern! It's very obvious Jessica put a ton of work into this pattern! It's got charts and graphs and beautiful photos. There's a very handy chart to help you find your spot of you forget what row or pattern repeat you're on. And the finished shawl is lovely! (Obviously the photo is pre blocking and weaving in ends 😂)
