I loved the detailed instructions and pictures, although I did knit a tail as well. I’m now reluctant to let Bluey go to my granddaughter!
Nice pattern, shame there was no instructions for tail. I did have to design & knit one myself. When contacting Lovecrafts about the tail, they contacted the seller, then informed me-although the character "Bluey" has a tail, on this occasion the designer of this pattern did not include instructions for this detail. In case anyone was wanting my instructions see below: TAIL (1 piece) Cast on 4 sts - dark blue colour / navy. 1. row: purl 2. row: (KFB) repeat to the end (8 sts) 3. row: purl 4. row: (KFB) repeat to the end (16 sts) 5. row: purl 6. row: knit 7. row: purl 8. row: KFB in 2nd & 3rd sts, middle 4sts and 3rd & 2nd to last sts (24sts) (k1,inc,inc,k3,inc,inc,inc,inc,k3,inc,inc,k1) 9-19 20. row: k10, SSK, K2tog, k10 (22sts) 21. row: purl 22. row: k9, SSK, K2tog, k9 (20sts) 23. row: purl change colour: medium blue 24-47 48. row: cast off
Easy to follow pattern
I was disappointed that the pattern was hand written. There was no pattern for the tail on Bluey - I had to create this myself. Also the character Bluey has spots on its back so you had to create these as well to make the toy authentic.
Knitting Bluey was a bit fiddly but it was worth the effort, as it looks good. I have always found Lovecraft patterns to be easy to follow and precise.
I did not use the same yarn. The pattern is well written and easy to understand. The pictures are very helpful. I have made 3 of them.
Knitting is still in progress. Pattern is easy to follow.
Knitting up well. Not finished well. Ample instructions.
