Unusual neat little ribbed, double-breasted wrapover jacket, knitted in a simple horizontal rib stitch. Large buttons give the jacket a retro feel.
Originally published in The Knitter magazine, the jacket has already attracted a lot of interest, and the single pattern now has added features. The jacket can be knitted in one piece or with a back seam, with either short or long sleeves, and shaping is worked in short-rows.

Jan 2021 update: Following a query about the point at which the sleeves are added while knitting the body in one piece - yes, at first it is quite awkward as the underarm space is small. This becomes easier to work after a few rows have been knitted. One tip is to put the underarm stitches onto a scrap of yarn, rather than a rigid stitch holder, as this makes the opening more stretchy.
