The 'PonSkirt' (Kids' Poncho / Skirt)

The PonSkirt - a dual-purpose garment designed for kids 6-8yo (or younger)

Wear it as a skirt, or as a poncho.  The shape will suit either, & the drawstring ensures it stays put.

Notes:

Pattern provides written instructions for producing a finished product. These instructions assume a knowledge of the special stitches listed below. 

SPECIAL STITCHES:

Foundation Double Crochet (opt.) (Fdc) Chain (ch) Double Crochet 2 Together (dc2tg) Chainless Starting Double Crochet (opt.) (CSdc) Cross Stitch – worked over 2sts Double Crochet (dc)

Gauge for this pattern is NOT essential - the basic shape is determined by the decrease rows. If the same gauge is unable to be obtained, simply reduce or increase the frequency of the decreases or change the size of your hook.
