The Santa Hat for Summer!
The Slouchy Summer Santa Hat came into being due to my love of Christmas and my love for my son. Whenever I put a santa hat on my son he would pull it off before I could even take a photo. They were just too hot for him.
After an extensive search I found heaps of beautiful crochet hat patterns but they were all designed with a white Christmas in mind so I decided to create one myself and the Slouchy Summer Santa Hat was born!
The first Christmas with his hat was a total hit (he actually wanted to wear it and he looked super cute) so I decided to expand the sizes - to 9 in fact! So now you can make one of these for anyone from a tiny baby to a full grown adult.
It has a rounded funnel shape, rather than a straight cone shape, for the Santa hat look with a slouchy mesh design. And the brim has a flat back so no ugly ribbing marks on your head when you take it off!
Note: Each size is created with the same hook and yarn and therefore maintains the same look and feel.
