Product Details
This sideways hat has a perfect fit and is very comfortable. It is made from a wonderfully soft and yet powerful rib. The top of the hat has been cared extra for in order to retain the rib appearance as long as possible.
HAT SIZE
One size teen/adult’s hat.
- Height: 27cm/10.6in.
- Width: Unstreched 45cm/18in - Stretched 74cm/29in.
The pattern can easily be altered in width and height for a more slouchy look. Instructions included.
STITCHES (US Terms)
- Basic: chain, slip stitch
- Special: Top Stitch and Reversed Top Stitch. Tutorials in appendix.
SKILLS
You should know Tunisian crochet. If you are new to this, you can practice on my 3 Skein Scarf pattern first.
YARN USAGE
150-160m (165-175 yds). Worsted. See suggestion below.
I used Le Fibre Nobili Mambo - Brand: Lane Cervinia - 100% wool - 80m/50g (88yds/1.76oz)
SPECIAL MATERIALS
- 4-6 stitch markers
- rubber band
- 5mm hook (US8, UK6): straight 15 cm (6 in) long with no handle - or a Tunisian hook.
