Sedgewick Coaster and Dishcloth Set

The Sedgewick Dishcloth and Coaster Set features two simple crochet patterns using the sedge stitch. This stitch creates a cute, textured fabric that works perfectly for a coaster and dishcloth! Size:

These patterns make a coaster that is approx. 4.5 x 4.5 inches (11.5 x 11.5 cm) and a dishcloth that is approx. 7.5 x 7.5 inches (19 x 19 cm). To make a larger/smaller item, cast on more/less stitches in multiples of 3, and alter # of rows to match.

Needles required:

5 mm crochet hook (US H/8) may need other size hook to meet gauge

Yarn required: any worsted weight cotton yarn ( I used KnitPicks Dishie yarn, 190 yds per 100 g)

Yardage required:

~15 yards (coaster) / 45 yards (dishcloth) yardage is an approximation at this point, and is based on the size listed above.
