My Knit Night Collection socks are named after some of my favourite knitty people. Sara Elin is one of my many online knitting friends: she was an early reader of my blog, and is now one of the people I count as a knitting friend, in spite of the fact I have never met her. These socks celebrate the people that I have come to know around the world entirely because of knitting.
The Sara Elin socks are knitted from the toe up and use a gusset and heel flap construction, shaped with short rows. The socks have a pattern on the instep and around the leg, while the sole is knitted in stocking stitch. The gusset length is affected by your row/round gauge, so a small amount of optional maths is included to achieve the perfect fit.
The patterns in the collection are written to be needle-neutral and can be knitted on any of DPNs, short circulars or long circulars using the magic loop technique. See my designer page for the other patterns in the collection.
