'Sapphire' Scarf Shawl

Sapphire blues and sparkle – such a lovely reminder of the beauty of the sea. This lovely scarf shawl is knitted in the same way as an asymmetrical one, but the end result is virtually a triangle, with the increase edge running along the top. Optional tassels are included with photos of how to make them.

An easy knit for the confident beginner and yet interesting enough for the experienced knitter who likes to knit and natter. One adult size fits all. Line by line instructions, in English with British/American terms. The photos show the shawl in colour 'Ocean', but any colour is suitable, and most dk yarns should be okay. Or why not use a non-sparkly D.K. yarn for a snuggly men's scarf, leaving off the tassels?

This could be an extra layer, worn as a scarf over the top of a Winter coat. Or it could also be worn as a cosy wrap on a cool summer’s eve.
