This is a great cotton yarn which this particular pattern says to use but personally I feel a yarn with more wool/acrylic content would be more satisfying to knit.

I really enjoyed using this yarn and the way it drapes.
5 star experience. Hope the finished item gets the same!
Lovely smooth yarn.
Cotton Glace Yarn
Love this yarn it knits up beautifully. Nice yarn for summer. It washes really well and have knitted 2 previous garments using it. Delivery is quick and the website is easy to use showing clear pictures of products.
Go with who you know and trust!
Excellent service from Lovecraft and at the right price. Had originally bought this Rowan Glace yarn direct from Rowan to use on one of their patterns which is not knitting up as a '4 ply' as it indicates. Therefore I needed more yarn which I ordered from Rowan using the only reference on the ball band RG873 which is soft green. They sent me the wrong shade RG870 a soft blue, now the yarn is no longer available at a sale price with Rowan and no way to complain! So I turned to tried and trusted...
Pleased to be starting my new project
Great cotton - knits up well - Love Craft service great as always
Easy to follow process and delivered on time without any issue
Cotton Glace knits up nicely. However, I usually have to use a slightly larger needle than recommended both to get the suggested row guage as well as to have a slightly less tight fabric than I like. Colors are nice. Yarn keeps its sheen pretty well; doesn't pill like some other cotton yarns.
I love the finish of this cotton--it's not rough, nor does it "fuzz up"--and it comes in a variety of colors. I do prefer to knit it on a slightly larger needle than many of patterns for it suggest, as doing so provides a more flexible fabric. Am currently knitting a Cotton Glace pattern--a summer vest--from Rowan Magazine 75. Hope Rowan keeps making this yarn.
The colors ran. I don't know what has happened to cotton glace but it's not the same these days and I don't plan to ever buy it again.
