Product Details

The Rosy Lotus Shawl is a triangular shawl worked forth and back in one piece from the top down.

The cables should represent a large water lily, with two smaller ones on the sides. Underneath is a single-colored “wave section” - the water for the water lily.

A special knitting method is used - it results in a two-colored garter stitch body. The cables are knitted out separately and are moved over the body.

This technique is not difficult, but you have to work the cable stitches also on the wrong side rows.

There are no charts! Only written instructions! And some extra help and photos.

Original yarn:

Lamana „Como“ (100% Merino Wool, 120 m/25 g)

7 balls in col. 62 (Rose Quartz)

5 balls in col. 49 (Crocus)

(300 grams in total)

If you choose a different yarn, I would recommend using a yarn with twice the yardage per 50 grams (e.g. approx. 240 m/50 g – light fingering to fingering weight). Otherwise the shawl will be much too heavy and much too thick.

Happy Knitting!
