Using just 7 to 9 yards of yarn, this adorable octopus was originally designed for donations to NICU wards of various hospitals. Because I love making them, I also have made them for baby showers, newborn gifts, etc. Have you noticed that newborns clench their fists? These are perfect for them to clench and hold and later on to cuddle with! You can enjoy experimenting with different colors and decorations (bows, hearts, etc.) and just have lots of fun. My yarn preference for these little babes is a nice soft cotton such as Paintbox cotton yarn but any soft yarn will make an adorable little
