The ribbing pulls in the bodice to create the effect of a semi-shaped armhole. Knit this sweater for your favourite one-year-old and she’ll still be wearing it when she’s three. Special notes about gauge: Preblocking: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4"/ 10 cm in St st with US size 6 (4 mm) needles; After wet blocking: 21 sts and 33 rows = 4"/ 10 cm in St st with US size 6 (4 mm) needles; Relaxed k2, p2 ribbing: 37 sts and 39 rows = 4"/ 10 cm in St st with US size 3 (3.25 mm) needles; Slightly stretched k2, p2 ribbing: 28 sts and 39 rows = 4"/ 10 cm in St st with US size 6 (4 mm) needles
