I used this to make a large, multi-coloured Afghan blanket for my granddaughter, who loves it. The yarn is easy to knit with and I like the practical 50/50 blend of wool and acrylic for an item that will get a lot of wear over the coming years

I crochet "A LOT" and I love it. I make sweaters and afghans. And yes, doilies (a long forgotten art). Yarns that I use, "must be".... soft as a baby's skin but yet tough so that it endures my crocheting ( I do make mistakes) and it has to last overtime (I want to see that afghan, I had completed 5 years later in its pristine condition that I had left it in). I bought Paintbox Wool Mix Aran yarn to knit a blanket for my granddaughter (age 11). The selection of colours available is excellent, and 1/3 into knitting this blanket I am delighted with how it is looking. I would recommend this yarn for most knitting jobs requiring Aran-weight yarn. It feels soft and resilient.
Great choice
Lovely yarn that knits up beautifully, in a good range of colours. I have knitted 8 fairisle jumpers for my family from age 2 to 37 and they all love them.
Excellent products
This is a lovely smooth yarn. I like to knit thickish socks on 3.75mm needles. The texture this yarn creates is perfect. It is often very difficult to find an Aran yarn with a wool mix which is preferable for socks. This 50/50 mix of wool and acrylic is a good option.
