Aran weight is the fast lane: it knits up quickly on 5.00mm needles without turning bulky, so jumpers, cardigans and throws grow visibly while still holding a neat, even fabric. Being acrylic, it takes a machine wash and a low tumble dry, which is the practical difference between a handmade blanket that gets used and one that stays in the cupboard.
The shades are developed as a coordinated palette rather than one-offs, so stripes, granny squares, colourwork and toys can be planned across the range and matched with confidence. The yarn is OEKO-TEX certified.
Specifications: 100g balls, 184m (201yds). Tension 18 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm on 5.00mm (US 8) needles; 5.00mm (H) crochet hook. Machine wash at 30°C, tumble dry on low, cool iron, do not bleach. Made in Turkey.
