Great yarn for my sister's cardigan
I'm using it for a cardigan. I have done 2 previously, and they washed and bounced back into shape no problem. They are for my sister and she loves them. I have a few other projects to finish first.
Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK is a 100% cotton double knit with the crisp, dry handle that makes every stitch read clearly. Paintbox Yarns is our own brand, designed in house.
Ideal for colourful stripes, intarsia, fair isle or knitted toys. Cotton has no memory and no halo, so nothing blurs: single crochet sits square, cables and textured knits keep their edges, and colourwork stays sharp instead of softening at the joins. It is a standard choice for amigurumi and toys, where a tight fabric with no fuzz is the whole point, and equally for summer tops, market bags, dishcloths and baby blankets that need to survive a hot wash.
The palette is built to be mixed. Shades are developed as a coordinated range rather than a set of one-offs, so stripes, granny squares and intarsia can be planned across the whole collection without hunting for matches.

I've always been happy with Paintbox Cotton DK. I use it for kitchen cloths, to use myself and to give as gifts. It's absorbent and pretty. I haven't finished one yet in Paintbox yarn. I've only just begun to use Paintbox Cotton DK for this, so I don't know fully how it fares with repeated washing. I have made many kitchen cloths with Scheepjes Catona and Yarn Colors Must-Have, and I've been happy with its longevity, although the sheen it comes with wears off with repeated washings. I didn't...
I love the colours. It's good to work with. I am making scrubbies and dishcloths at the moment with this yarn, and I am using the suzette stitch. The texture of the stitch.
I’ve used this yarn before and loved the stitch definition it provides. I ran out of a couple of colors while making amigurumi, so I wanted to restock. It’s working just as well as I hoped!
I'm using it for a cardigan for myself. I wanted something in pink, and I've used Paintbox cotton before, so I know it's a good yarn - and not just for summer! If a knitted cotton garment is looked after properly - washed as on the ball band - and it’s stored properly, then it keeps its shape. It’s on hold atm as I’m doing some test knitting.
I like the fact it was cotton and not acrylic. I'm using it for a hat. Sadly not started yet.
LoveCrafts never disappoints! The shipping is quick, and my favorite amigurumi yarn, Paintbox Cotton DK, is a quality yarn with predictable colors skein to skein. I love to make doll amigurumi. Paintbox has a couple of colors that help make both Caucasian and darker hued skin. Also, banana cream makes a perfect blonde hair. There are so many colors to choose from for making clothes for the dolls.
This is a great cotton yarn it is very smooth and is easy to work with. Perfect for summer garments
