Murex Top is a cute little top that is ideal to wear on its own on warm summer days or over a top on cooler evenings. This design is unisex so is suitable for both girls and boys.
The pattern has options for working in a single colour or two contrasting yarns. The Single Colour Version is ideal for a beginner looking for a fast and easy top to knit for a little one. Two Colour Version is also straightforward yet remains interesting enough for experienced knitters who may also want to challenge themselves further, by finishing the shoulders so they are smooth and seam free. Additionally, it would be straightforward to work the hemline, neckband and cuffs in a contrast yarn for the Single Colour Version to add more interest to that version. The Two Colour version works best when the main colour yarn is a solid colourway with an obvious difference to the contrast yarn; the contrast colour yarn can be either plain or variegated.
