Malabrigo Rios is a great favourite with knitters around the world, and for good reason! Super soft, washable and knitting to a standard worsted weight, it is the perfect solution for knitting for children, babies and you! Rios has great stitch definition and a glorious array of colourways to choose from. Malabrigo yarn is hand-dyed, meaning that each beautiful skein is unique. As a result, there may be variations in colour between skeins of the same shade. Really loved working with this wool. It knits up beautifully and is so colourful. Perfect for a child’s jumper. The only criticism I have is that there were a number of knots in the wool which I made the mistake of just knitting them in and then had to darn over and tie another piece of wool over it to re enforce it in case it came undone. I should have cut the knots out and then treated it like a new ball of wool. Lesson learned the hard way. Hope my beautiful jumper doesn’t come undone! 😬
Fast becoming my favourite wool and colours. May have to build a bigger stash. Liquidambar is quite varied, so Id recommend purchasing as much as needed per project, rather than one skein at a time.

I bought Malabrigo Rios for a cardigan for my son. The pattern is called Lee Cardigan. I bought the color Gris which has multiple grey colors. Soft & knits up quickly. I like that it’s washable but keep in mind it does stretch so was when gauging.
Can’t get better yarn than malabrigo
I do not use commercial patterns, I follow my own idea of the piece. This yarn is smooth, provides good definition and I really like the colors offered.
The only problem I've run into so far is the s twist splitting slightly when looking at any puff stitches that were made in previous rows, when using a larger crochet hook. But I assume that's just purely the nature of any s-twist yarn—although it's the first time I've ever experienced it with yarn.
