Product Description
This pretty pattern works up quickly to make a lovely baby blanket, toddler throw rug, or older child/adult sized rug. The size can easily be adjusted to meet the individual's requirement, as from Round 10 a three round repeat applies.
The pattern is suited to yarn of any fibre, however I recommend using a yarn that gives a good stitch definition. Although the example blanket (pictured) has been made with 8ply, the pattern can be worked with yarns of other ply.

Kaleidoscope Flower Blanket by The Crochet Fix
Project Overview
The Kaleidoscope Flower Blanket is a crochet design created by Farrah Tate of The Crochet Fix. This blanket project combines colorful floral motifs arranged in a kaleidoscope pattern, making it an ideal choice for crafters seeking a visually striking throw or bed blanket with dimensional appeal.
What Is Being Made
This pattern produces a finished blanket featuring a kaleidoscope flower design. The blanket incorporates multiple flower motifs arranged to create a cohesive, symmetrical pattern across the entire piece. The design works well as a decorative throw blanket or full-sized bed covering, depending on yarn quantity and desired dimensions.
Crochet Techniques Used
The Kaleidoscope Flower Blanket employs intermediate-level crochet techniques suitable for crafters with foundational skills. The pattern requires understanding of how to construct individual flower elements and assemble them into a larger blanket structure. Crafters will work with modular design principles, creating separate floral components that are then joined together to form the complete blanket.
Stitches and Stitch Work
While the complete stitch list is detailed within the full pattern, the design utilizes standard crochet stitches to build dimensional flowers. The pattern requires knowledge of fundamental stitches commonly used in intermediate crochet projects. Specific stitch abbreviations and detailed instructions are provided within the downloadable PDF pattern document.
Materials Required
- Yarn Weight: DK (Double Knit) weight yarn, which provides a lightweight yet substantial fabric suitable for blanket projects
