Product Details
This generously sized, plaid baby blanket is suitable for a modern, gender-neutral nursery. The fabric is constructed with Knit Picks CotLin by first making the background with plain stripes (Swan, Moroccan Red, Sagebrush and Thicket) with strategically placed pairs of elongated stitches worked in anticipation of the vertical stripes. Next, stitches are picked up around the entire blanket and a wide hemmed border is worked in Harbor. Finally, the vertical stripes are worked with surface crochet–a technique that creates an amazing effect with very little difficulty. Best of all, if you keep all your yarn changes on an edge you won’t have any ends to weave in–just tuck them into the hem!
