Product Details
High Altitude is knit in two colours to accentuate the unique features of the mesh stitch pattern used in both designs. For the shawl’s body, you start with a provisional cast-on that will become the bottom edge of the right wing of the shawl, then you knit on the bias, reducing the stitch count with simultaneous decreases and increases at both edges of the knitted fabric, and finally, finish at the tip of the shawl’s left wing. The finishing touch is made by knitting on a mesh border with a picot bind-off edge. All-over garter stitch and ridged ribbon stitch make this an easy and relaxing knit, and the elements of colorwork and modular knitting make this project fun.
