As soon as I saw these mitts on Hermione Granger in the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1, I knew I had to have a pair of my own.
So now, you can too.
These gloves can be made from most types of dk yarn, although I probably wouldn't recommend cotton.
To recreate the stripe effect as per the pattern you will around 300 yards of yarn in eight different colours, which breaks down as follows: 1 x 100yds Pale Pink 1 x 50yds Mid Pink 1 x 40yds Chocolate 4 x 25yds Lilac, Dark Pink, Light Brown, White 1 x 10yds Purple I've included full details of the yarns in the pattern.
