Free Christmas Nordic Hairband Knitting Pattern Snoo's Knits

This hairband is based on Nordic design and will make an unusual Christmas present. The ends are joined with elastic, so it will fit both adults and children.

Size: The knitted part is 34cm [13.5 in] long. You can attach different lengths of elastic to adjust this to the right head size. The band is 3.5cm [1 1/4 in] wide.

Difficulty: Intermediate. The only part that needs skill is working the pattern. This requires you to use two colours in the same row.

You will need:

· Wool in red, 30g, and white, 15g. I used Double Knit [8-6 ply, “light worsted”.] Tension: 10cm x 10cm square is 24 stitches across and 32 rows.

· Knitting needles. I used UK size 12 [2.75mm, US size 2.]

· Tapestry needle

· Flat elastic. Mine was 2cm wide and 24cm long.

· White sewing-thread and needle
