Foxglove Cottage Mitts

Deep in the woods in a pretty glen, lies a hidden cottage. It has stood for many years, and provides comfort and shelter for those that live there. In the summer, the garden that surrounds the cottage is full to bursting with the most beautiful foxgloves.

All through the long sunny days, the cottage is never without a vase of those wonderful blooms.

As the weather grows colder and the gardens starts hibernating, the inhabitants of the cottage start to cosy up for the winter. A favourtie pastime during this season, is the knitting of mitts. These are designed to remind the knitter of those heady summer days.

A foxglove inspired lace panel adorns the mitts, perfect for winter gifts that have a hint of those long summer days.

The pattern sample were knitted using a skein of Eden Cottage Yarns in the shade 'Flowering Currant'.

The pattern is one size only but can be adjusted by changing needle size and/or yarn weight.
