Duckling

Crochet your own realistic ducklings in all their natural cuteness!

They make a lovely addition to your spring or Easter decorations, a seasonal table, a twig tree or even a rather shocking toy for a cat!

For a duckling approximately 10cm/4in tall, you will need DK (light worsted weight) yarn. Either:

— 21m brown + 15m yellow; or

— 32m yellow.

Choose a fluffy yarn, or an ordinary wool yarn and fluff it up with a simple trick described in the pattern.

You will also need:

— 1m dark taupe or orange yarn for the beak

— 3m dark taupe or orange yarn for the optional feet

— a small amount of black yarn or stranded embroidery cotton for the eyes

— a small amount of stuffing

— a 3.5mm crochet hook and yarn needle
