Classic easy knit dishcloth

Here's my knitting pattern for a classic super easy dishcloth. This diagonally knitted garter stitch dishcloth has a pretty edge. It looks great in speckled or variegated yarn. I used Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn, I love the pretty colours! This quick & easy knit pattern is perfect for a beginner knitter.

Skills required, cast on, knit, yarn over, knit front / back, slip / slip knit, cast off (and optional simple crochet hanging loop).

Make just one dishcloth, or make a set of eight so you have one for each day of the week plus a spare. Switch to hand knitted dishcloths to reduce waste & microplastics. I throw these in with my towel wash to launder them.
