I'm using it for the Cathedral sweater by Rachel Illsley with Wave yarn's subtle gradations. I chose the very deep peacock colour 856 instead of black because initially I had black contrast with bluegreen wave but it looked too harsh.
It’s the best wool I have ever used. Thick, soft and very easy to kit up. Good for Aran work I have knitted myself a warm jacket which I will enjoy wearing next winter. At the moment I am knitting beanies and it’s brilliant for making a really thick warm beanie in one skein of wool.
This sweater is to be a gift so I wanted it to be easily washable this wool yarn is soft has a lovely colour saturation, good even twist, altogether a superior quality product plus it was such a great price for such quality will certainly buy more.
Been using this yarn for years, I love knitting with it. Making a small shawl with Superwash stash, I realized I was short, ordered one more skein, in stock and even though it's been a while, color is so close. Thanks, Cascade.
Hasn't been through a wash yet so reserving judgement on the fifth star. It is nice to work with and doesn't split. I use it for socks.
I'm enjoying knitting with the Cascade yarn. It doesn't split, the color is excellent, and the stitch definition is also noteworthy. If I had to confine myself to one yarn only--heaven forbid!!!--I'd probably choose Cascade 220.
This is good superwash. It wears well and looks nice. It has some of that stretch that is the bane of superwash wool but it’s really minimal compared to other yarns I’ve tried. It’s my go to product for machine wash washable wool. I know lots of knitters avoid superwash altogether but there are lots of folks in my life that don’t have it in them to handwash their knitted gifts, including baby items, and this looks great in colorwork and has decent stitch definition so I use it often for gifts.
Best ww yarn ever! Great stitch definition, no splitting, smooth handling. AND, it's superwash so when I gift items to people who insist on putting things I make in the washing machine, it doesn't felt (may need minor blocking).
Lovely, soft real wool in a myriad of colours. I’ve been using the DK and it knits up beautifully. It also comes in thicker and thinner weights but I’ve not tried them yet. It machine washes well at 30 degrees. This is my yarn of choice since I discovered it, and I’ll be using it for future projects, too.
