A straight forward “learn to knit” pattern was needed for the beginner knitting classes I teach. While waiting for my husband to finish his kayaking/fishing trip this hat was pattern was created. A first project that wouldn’t take weeks to finish, knit on larger needles with a aran or worsted weight yarn. For an experienced knitter Buffalo Jump is a quick satisfying knit. Make it fun with a one of a kind button or two or three! Add a detachable pompom for different for an optional look.
The pattern includes instruction for knitting in the round or knitting flat and seamed.
