Product Details
This is an easy cardigan, knit from the top down in one piece. The sleeves are sectioned off and completed (in the round) once the body is finished. This is my favourite way to knit jumpers for kids as it’s easy and fast, plus there is no need to sew pieces together. I use a magic loop technique (YouTube has great tutorials on this) and long circular needles, but you can also use a pair of 4mm needles and 4 double pointed needles for the sleeves. It is a good pattern for a beginner as there are no difficult stitches.
Suggested Yarn is Moda Vera 'Starlight 8ply', 50g, 145m. Using this yarn: 2 balls of yarn (160-250 metres) are required for 0-3 and 3-6 months sizes, whilst 3 balls are needed for 6-12 month size.
